Born, bred and high-schooled in Toronto, Naomi collected credits at universities in the US, Nigeria and India before completing her undergraduate degree at McGill University, followed by a masters in social anthropology at York University. A one-year post-graduate scholarship to Berlin turned into twelve, as she began working for Canadian and later German media.
Her columns and features have appeared in The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Toronto Life, Chatelaine, Cottage Life, Today's Parent, The Walrus, Spiegel Online, Zeit Online, Der Tagesspiegel among others and have been nominated for National Magazine, Digital Publishing and International Regional Magazine Awards. She has been a guest on CBC Radio (Q, Cross-country Checkup, The 180) and many private radio stations across Canada. She also produces for German public television.
